We had a fantastic time in Belize. Here are the answers to your questions:
San Pedro itself was great, its one of the coolest, most laid back little towns, I've been to. However, I liked the fact that we out of town a little - there was a less hustle and bustle. Plus, as everybody on the trip will attest, I liked driving the buggy around town.
I would vacation there again. It was very laid back and relaxing and had a cool feel all the way around. We had a great vacation there.
A dishwasher would really add to the place. An internet connection might have been nice too, but on the other hand I'm probably glad we didn't have one.
I thought the condo was great overall. Our trip to Belize was truly one of the best vacations I've taken in some time, so I hope that you take the above suggestions/criticisms as constructive and an attempt to make a great place even better. I've CC'd some of the other people on the trip so that they can add any additional thoughts.
Best, Rob
Deb,
I wanted to add as a side note to my brother Rob's comments (above). Manuel and Carlos were very helpful and entertaining additions to our vacation. Manuel was very helpful in aiding me to find my brother Rob the day of our arrival and made sure that we got to Sunset Condos promptly. Carlos gave us an excellent snorkel trip to the reef even towing my father around on a floating donut. It's a very nice amenity to have a tour guide living right in your back yard.As my brother stated, perhaps our best vacation ever and one of the few places I really did not want to leave at the end of the week.
Thank you, William Rutschow
Deb,
We first want to thank you for making our trip more successful with answering all our questions. We really enjoyed the condo at Sunset and felt we had our own private home and pool because we saw so little of anyone else! It was just the perfect setting.
We loved the contrast of Ambergris after our visit to Hopkins, which was also very memorable but in a different way.
The town of San Pedro was great fun and we loved tooling about on the golf carts. The pace of life there is certainly nice. Everyone was so friendly too. We will definitely look forward to coming again and then maybe seeing more of the island....we enjoyed the beach and diving so much that we hardly did anything else! The one comment I would make on the condo is that it would have been nice to have a washer and dryer. Mary was a very helpful to us in coordinating the cab, the golf cart rental which we had a ball on!) and any other questions and came by to meet us on arrival. She made herself accessible and we appreciated having someone there to ask, should something arise. Thank you again for all your help. We hope to be going to Belize again and will certainly want to stay just where we did!
Thank you, Judy
HI DEB-MARK HERE-THANKS FOR LETTING US STAY AT YOUR PLACE! WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER IN BELIZE.WE CAUGHT ABOUT 350 FISH! LOVED THE CONDO! MARY WAS VERY NICE.THANKS AGAIN-WE HAD A BLAST! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Hi Deb,
Thank you very much for letting us stay at your beautiful condo. Johnny and I loved it and had a wonderful time.
I loved being able to just walk outside and have the ocean right there. We spent most of our time at the condo on the steps. The view was spectacuclar and the colors were amazing. I would love to visit Ambergise Caye again and it would be a pleasure to stay at Sunset again.
We had a very busy schedule. We dived three days, went cave tubing and visited the Mayan ruins - Laminai. The time just went too fast. (that is my only complaint)
The people on the island are very friendly and trustworthy. We had a great time. Johnny may be back at the end of June.
Thank you so much
Sincerely,
Sandy
Dear Deb
We truly enjoyed our week at Sunset. The Condo was terrific - undoubtedly the nicest we have stayed at in the last five years we have been taking trips south. I don't think there is anything about it that you could improve. We had spent the first week of our vacation on the main land which was very interesting and I think there are some more things we would like to see in the northern part of the country. Ambergris was meant to be very relaxing and it was. We very much enjoyed Carlos and Alex. The snorkeling was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The only things we felt were less than ideal was the fact the beach although beautiful was not swimable because of the seagrass.. We made good use of the bikes and rented a golf cart for a day. We ate out four nights and cooked in twice. We made all our breakfasts and most of our lunches at the condo. We thought golf cart rentals were somewhat excessive so we didn't use them anymore than the one day.
I think you have a great place. I think you could market the snorkeling a little more and the place is great for windsurfing - not that I do it but saw a fellow next door take off from the beach and it looked like great fun. I would be happy to provide a reference to anyone interested in staying at your place. I think we will be back in two to three years. Next year is the time share in Mexico.
Yours truly Richard Dickson
"Dear Deborah,
The most wonderful thing about our trip to Belize was the amazing variety of sea life. We have snorkeled throughout the Caribbean, the east and west coast of Mexico and the South Pacific. The snorkeling in Belize is second only to Tahiti. With guides on the Hol Chan/Shark-Ray Ally tour we were able to pet nurse sharks and a sting ray. We saw spiney star fish, a huge green eel, a jumbo hermit crab in a conch shell, a giant turtle and many other creatures.

Deb - Let me tell you that our honeymoon trip to Ambergris Caye was completely "unbelizeable!"
One recommendation for all of your future visitors: If you can book a norkeling trip or excursion through Suya tours, ask for Gavino. He was fantastic! Very nice, always on time and just a great guy all around.
Overall, this was a wonderful trip that we look forward to repeating.
Thanks again Deb for being so thorough, walking us through the process and helping us to make sure that we covered all the details. Just what we needed, especially in the midst of planning our wedding!
Thanks again!"
Pete
Deborah,
"This was our second trip to Belize and our first stay in San Pedro... having bikes available was wonderful for grocery shopping and exercise, the pool was just the right size to relax or swim, the beach was well maintained, the snorkling trips with Carlos were fun, don't miss the 4:30 PM feeding of the 13f crocodile by the local kids at the lagoon close by, rent a golf cart for at least a day, and take advantage of the cayak and sail boat rental at a close by resort, and check out the iguanas at the beach and the property next door. If you like to relax in quiet, comfortable surroundings, this is the location for you!"

Hi Deb,
The vacation was excellent! We had four days of snorkeling, a two-day trip to Guatemala, and a trip to Altun Ha... Overall, the experience was memorable. Thank you for your assistance."
Best regards, Robert
Deb,
"Our vacation last month to Ambergris Caye was truly memorable. The weather was perfect, the water was perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. From the moment we stepped off the plane everything and everyone was wonderful. Maybe its because the island is small that you get an immediate sense of community. The folks living on the Ambergris are some of the friendliest we have met anywhere. When you pass on the street everyone smiles and warmly greets you."
A popular trip among my customers is the Tikal tour offered on my site through Tropic Air. Here is one customer's response to his experience:
Deborah, the Tikal trip was superlative! There was a brilliant guide, who responded to his interested, small party by having lunch on the go, permitting more time among the temples. I have seen most of the world's archelogical treasures, and Tikal, with our superb Mayan guide, did not disappoint."

A customer comments on the difference between Mexico and Belize. She writes
"I would LOVE to share my Belize information with your customers. My husband and I have been to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico and stayed at the Royal Hideaway Resort and Spa. It was very expensive and not NEARLY as enjoyable as Belize. My husband and I flew into Belize City and then took a small sea plane to Ambergris Caye (San Pedro). The people are very friendly and speak ENGLISH! Someone once told me that when you get there you can take your shoes off and not put them back on until you get ready to head back home. I didn't believe them but it is soooooo true. We landed on a sand airstrip and received our "roundtrip transportation" from the airport to the hotel. Our transportation consisted of a barefoot guy in a golfcart. It was great. The water and beaches are beautiful. We went to the ruins, snorkeling, snorkeling with the nurse sharks at Shark Ray Alley, night clubbing at Barefoot Iguanas, cave tubing 20 miles from the Guatemala border. It was a true rustic experience. Everyone drives Golf Carts, stays barefoot, and they are very welcoming. Please refer to the website www.ambergriscaye.com for a complete guide to Ambergris Caye. We also took a 15 minute boat ride to Caye Cauker (tiny island) near Ambergris. It is very uninhabited and gorgeous. In Belize you can get hour long massages on the beach for $50. Meals are great and often cooked over open fire on the beach where you just go by and get a plate. We loved it and are planning to go back again this year. If you really want to go and make it a worthwhile trip, you need to invest in Fodor's Belize/Guatemala book. Lots of info there. Let me know if I can give you any more information."
